Trim Tabs

Boat trim tabs are adjustable flat panels mounted on the transom of a boat to help control the vessel's attitude and improve stability, performance, and fuel efficiency.

 Trim Tabs Components

  1. Trim Tab Plates: Flat metal plates mounted on the boat's transom. They can be adjusted up or down to change the boat's trim.
  2. Actuators: Hydraulic or electric pistons that adjust the angle of the trim tab plates.
  3. Control Switch: Located at the helm, this switch allows the operator to adjust the trim tabs.
  4. Indicator Gauge: Displays the current position of the trim tabs.
  5. Trim Tab Pump (for hydraulic systems): Pumps hydraulic fluid to the actuators.
  6. Wiring and Hydraulic Lines: Connect the control switch and pump to the actuators.
