This waterlock is appropriate for use with inboard engines, sailboats and generators, but should be installed below the engine as the lowest point of the exhaust system. It can be installed above or below the waterline and is suitable for petrol (gas) or diesel applications. It has better sound absorbing properties of 22-28 dB depending on the engine it is being used with.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Centek range of exhaust waterlocks are made from heat resistant GRP (glass reinforced plastic) along with the rest of their wet exhaust system components. Because of this construction, the waterlocks are corrosion resistant and can withstand heat up to 177°C (350°F).
